Service Capabilities
What does Brass-SEO actually do?
Brass-SEO connects to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 accounts, cross-references your ranking data with user engagement metrics, and uses AI to identify specific issues and opportunities. Instead of showing you dashboards full of data, it tells you exactly what to fix and why.
What reports are available?
Four main reports: GSC Report analyzes your search performance (impressions, clicks, rankings). GA4 Report shows user engagement (sessions, bounce rate, time on page). Site Audit crawls up to 50 pages checking technical SEO (titles, meta descriptions, headings, images, links). Content Ideas suggests new content based on queries you're showing for but not ranking well.
How does the AI chat work?
The AI chat has access to your connected GSC and GA4 data. You can ask questions in plain English like "Why did my traffic drop last month?" or "What keywords am I close to ranking for?" and get specific answers based on your actual data. Chat is included in your subscription.
How many pages can the site audit crawl?
Each audit crawls up to 50 pages. For most business websites, this covers the entire site. The crawler prioritizes your most important pages based on your sitemap and internal link structure. You get 4 full audits per month.
Can I analyze multiple websites?
Yes, if you have multiple sites connected to your Google Search Console account, you can switch between them in the dashboard. Each site's data is analyzed separately. The audit and report limits apply across all your sites combined.
Can Brass-SEO make changes to my website?
No — Brass-SEO is a read-only analysis tool. It can access your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data, analyze your page content, and give you specific recommendations. But it cannot edit your website content, submit URLs to Google, modify your GSC or GA4 settings, or take any action on your behalf. You (or your developer) implement the recommendations.
Can I see my competitors' data?
No. Brass-SEO only has access to the Google accounts you have connected. Competitor GSC and GA4 data is private to their own accounts. However, Brass-SEO can help you compete more effectively by surfacing your own striking-distance keywords (positions 11–20), identifying topics you are missing content for, and showing which of your pages are underperforming relative to their traffic potential.

Privacy & Security
How do you access my Google data?
Through OAuth 2.0, the same secure authentication Google uses everywhere. You log in directly with Google—we never see your password. We request read-only access, meaning we can view your data but never modify anything in your GSC or GA4 accounts.
What data do you access?
From Google Search Console: search queries, impressions, clicks, average position, and indexed pages. From GA4: pageviews, sessions, bounce rate, engagement time, and traffic sources. We only access the data needed to generate your reports.
How is my data stored?
OAuth tokens are encrypted using industry-standard encryption at rest. Your analytics data is cached temporarily (up to 4 hours) to speed up report generation. We don't store historical copies of your Google data—we fetch it fresh when you request reports.
Do you share or sell my data?
No. We never share, sell, or use your analytics data for any purpose other than generating your reports. Your data is yours. Read our full privacy policy for details.
Can I disconnect my Google accounts?
Yes, anytime. Go to your dashboard and click "Disconnect" next to either GSC or GA4. You can also revoke access from your Google account security settings. We immediately delete your stored tokens when you disconnect.
Can I delete my account and all data?
Yes. Go to Account Settings and click "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account, all stored tokens, and any cached data. This action cannot be undone.
Getting Started
How long does setup take?
About 2 minutes. Sign up, click to connect Google Search Console, click to connect GA4. Both use OAuth—you just authorize access through Google's login screen. Once connected, you can run your first report immediately. For a detailed walkthrough, see our step-by-step setup guide.
Do I need both GSC and GA4 connected?
Yes, both are required. GSC provides your search rankings, impressions, and clicks. GA4 provides traffic and engagement data like sessions and bounce rate. With both connected, you get the full cross-referenced analysis that finds problems neither tool shows alone—like pages that rank well but have high bounce rates. See GSC vs GA4: What Each One Tells You for a full breakdown of what each measures.
What if I don't have Google Search Console set up?
You'll need to verify your site with GSC first. It's free and takes about 5 minutes. Google has a setup guide here. Once verified, GSC starts collecting data immediately, though it takes a few days to accumulate meaningful search data.
How quickly do I get my first results?
Reports generate in 30-60 seconds. The AI fetches your data from Google, processes it, and streams the analysis in real-time. Site audits may take 1-2 minutes depending on how many pages are crawled.
Do I need SEO experience to use this?
No. The AI explains everything in plain language. Instead of showing you metrics and expecting you to interpret them, it tells you specifically what to do: "Change this title from X to Y" or "Add internal links to these 3 pages." If you don't understand something, just ask in the chat.
Technical Features
What technical SEO issues does the audit detect?
The site audit checks: Title tags (missing, too long, too short, duplicates), Meta descriptions (missing, length issues), Headings (missing H1, hierarchy problems), Images (missing alt text, broken images), Internal links (broken links, orphan pages), and Content (thin pages, duplicate content indicators).
How does cross-referencing GSC and GA4 data work?
We match URLs from both data sources to find insights neither shows alone. For example: a page with high impressions but low clicks (GSC) suggests title/description issues. A page with good rankings but high bounce rate (GSC + GA4) suggests content doesn't match search intent. These cross-referenced insights are prioritized in your reports.
What date range does the data cover?
By default, reports use the last 28 days of data from GSC and GA4. You can ask the AI to look at different time periods—like "compare this month to last month" or "show me the last 90 days"—and it will fetch the appropriate data.
Does Brass-SEO check my site's page speed?
Not directly. We focus on content and technical SEO issues that you can fix without developer help. For page speed analysis, we recommend Google's free PageSpeed Insights tool.
Can I export my reports?
Currently, reports display in the chat interface where you can copy the text. We're working on PDF and CSV export features for a future update.
What happens when I switch properties?
Each property has its own separate chat. When you switch using the property selector above the chat, a fresh conversation loads for the new site. Your previous property's chat history is preserved — it is still there when you switch back. All data analysis applies to the currently selected property.
Troubleshooting
Why does my GSC connection show "No properties found"?
This happens when your Google account doesn't have any verified sites in Search Console. You need to verify site ownership in GSC first. Make sure you're logging in with the same Google account that has GSC access.
Why is my data showing zeros or very low numbers?
If you just set up GSC or GA4, it takes a few days to accumulate data. GSC data also has a 2-3 day delay from Google. If your site is new or has very low traffic, the numbers will naturally be small. The AI will still provide recommendations based on whatever data is available.
The site audit didn't find all my pages. Why?
The audit crawls up to 50 pages starting from your homepage and sitemap. If you have more than 50 pages, it prioritizes based on link structure. Pages that aren't linked from other pages (orphan pages) may not be discovered. This is actually useful feedback—orphan pages often have SEO problems.
I got an error connecting my Google account. What should I do?
Try these steps: 1) Make sure you're selecting the correct Google account that has GSC/GA4 access. 2) Clear your browser cookies and try again. 3) Check if you have any browser extensions blocking OAuth popups. If the problem persists, contact support@brass-seo.com.
My GA4 or GSC shows as disconnected — how do I fix it?
Go to your dashboard, click Disconnect next to the affected service, then click Connect to re-authorize. The process takes about 30 seconds. This is usually triggered by a Google password change, removing Brass-SEO from your Google account's connected apps, or extended inactivity. After reconnecting, start a new chat so the AI picks up the fresh connection.
The page audit says it couldn't access my page — what do I do?
This usually means your site's firewall (Cloudflare, Vercel Firewall, Wordfence, etc.) is blocking the Brass-SEO crawler. Three options: (1) Paste the visible text from your page directly into the chat — the AI will analyze it directly. (2) Allow the Brass-SEO bot by following the provider-specific instructions at brass-seo.com/allow-bot. (3) Ask for a data-only audit — the AI can still analyze keyword performance and engagement from your GSC and GA4 data even without fetching the page.
